Bourjois Spring Trends Giveaway Win!

I've been meaning to get this post up for such a long time! I just haven't had the chance and I also wanted to make sure I tried all the products out first!

So a couple of months ago, I won a Bourjois giveaway on Twitter! I was so excited as I had never tried any of these products before. And I never win things! aha.

They arrived soon after and I have to admit, the brightness of them did seem a bit daunting!
I'm very much into my simple but pretty make up with not too much colour other than on the lips really, so this is something different for me!

Firstly, Bourjois Bronzing Powder in 51.
I have seen so many people have and use this over the years, yet I've never tried it out myself - and I have no idea why not.
So, I got sent this in '51' I know there is a darker one called '52'. The shade I have it in acts more as like a subtle tone on my skin tone when I apply it like bronzer. I have read some people have found it beneficial as a highlight along with using '52'.

I do really like this product, the packaging is really sleek and easy to carry around with you. It is workable and you can build up on it. Unlike shade '52', this one is also "filled with glints of sunshine" but has much more of a shimmery finish  whereas, '52' gives a much more matte look.
Both are quite different so I'll be interested in buying the darker one.

Secondly, I tried out the Volume Glamour Max Mascara. I really liked the look this mascara managed to achieve  with my eyelashes. They certainly did look more voluminous and the colouring was a deep dark black. Perfect, the sort of mascara I love to use!
The lasting power of this was really good, I didn't notice any fall out over the day either which is always a bonus.

The only thing I found with this mascara was it is really hard to get off! I was only using make up wipes so that might be why, but boy did I have a hard time getting it off. I don't really mind though, it did achieve a nice look.

So as some of you may have noticed, Bourjois have released as new lipstick line called the 'Rouge Edition'. If you pop into Boots you'll be able to check them out, I think there are around 20 different shades, so there is bound to be one you like! I was sent it in 07 'Fuschia Graffiti' and as you can see, its quite bright!

I've tried it a few times and I think the colour would look really nice with the monochrome trend at the moment, in order to have more of a statement look. I'm still a bit uncertain about it, but that is the only way I can think of pulling it off for me at the moment. It is really moistruising though and hasn't dried my lips up at all, which is always good! It is really pigmented and has a shine finish.

Lastly, the two purple delights. To be honest, I had never really thought about wearing purple on my eyes, it is just something I never thought of.

The Little Round Pot - Intense - 11 is also referred to as the 'colour shot' eyeshadow. Bourjois claim it offers it is 'pure colour, intense high coverage and ultra long lasting'.
At first I was quite wary to try this out as I didn't think I could find a way of pulling a purple eyeshadow off, especially with its claims of being pure colour and intense. However, I found it worked quite well. It wasn't as bright and intense as I thought it would be and had really pretty flecks of glitter in it. I used this in the inner corner of my eyes, to highlight definition. I'm not sure if I'll wear it as an all over colour yet though!

Secondly, Bourjois' Waterproof Contour Clubbing Eyeliner in 47 - Purple Night. Likewise with the eye shadow, I wasn't quite sure how to wear this. After I tried it out, it wasn't as light as thought it would be. Even though the colour isn't something I would usually go for, I am really impressed with this formula. It is really smooth to apply whilst it really loves live up to it waterproof name. I found it really hard to get off (in a good way) and just with water it didn't move at all, only when I rubbed it did it smudge! I'm really impressed with this eyeliner and although the colour isn't something I would normally go for, I'm definitely going to be picking up in black!
